Youth Worker with Sports Emphasis

Sport is a universal "language" and is a successful catalyst for introducing youth around the world to Jesus. If God has blessed you with a limber body and a love for youth, He can use you in fabulous ways in the lives of young people who normally would not listen to the Gospel.
Working (playing) alongside the local churches to set up sporting events, sports camps, and regular training sessions, you would have a great opportunity to build relationships with college and high school youth and to share Christ as opportunities arise. Will you do it?

Treasurer (Permanent)

Do you have Accounting training and experience? Has God laid it on your heart to use your skills and training in His service? Then consider serving in Burkina Faso in the role of Finance Manager. This is a crucial position in the operation of our office, projects, and ministry of our mission team. In the words of Mordecai, "And who knows but that you have come to (this) position for such a time as this?"

Urban Church Planting

According to Timothy Keller, "The vigorous, continual planting of new congregations is the single most crucial strategy for (1) the numerical growth of the body of Christ in a city and (2) the continual corporate renewal and revival of the existing churches in a city. This compeling statement drives home the great need for urban church planting in Bamako.
Experienced couples and singles in this field are needed to develop this ministry. Further, this will open the door for other church ministries and outreach.

Ministry to Street Girls

Does your life have purpose? Would you like to make an eternal difference in the lives of girls and young women by introducing them to Jesus?
Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, has a thriving sex trade with several West African countries. Many young women are lured to Ouaga with promises of employment and then are forced into prostitution. Many would escape the life of prostitution if alternatives were available.

Evangelism and Church Planting among the Tamajaq

Would you like a fulfilling adventure? You could live and work among a significant unreached people group in Burkina Faso, West Africa, in order to introduce them to Jesus! Even in this day of lightning communication, most of them have never heard about Him!
National boundaries and years of drought have resulted in these populations' being greatly reduced by starvation and migration to urban centers.

Missions Exposure

Do you ever wonder what it would be like to be a missionary among some of the world's poorest people? How would you like to teach people to read, pray with them, provide home schooling or administrative help in a foreign country? Have you thought about teaching Bible studies, translating the Bible, working in development, or running children's clubs? What about using your skills in mechanics, computers, or gardening as an avenue for relating every day with people who need Jesus!

Retreat Program for Missionary Kids

Make a kid's week! It will impact you in ways you never dreamed! While missionary parents seek spiritual refreshment, you get to provide their children with a program that will build into them as well. Through Bible teaching, music, crafts, drama, or other creative activities, encourage them in their walk with Jesus. Your influence will impact them for the future.

Physical Therapist

If you are a licensed Physical Therapist who would love to live your life for others, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
In the new long-term strategy that has been created for the Centre Handicapes en Avant (CHA), we have identified the need to have on staff a fully-qualified Physical Therapist. This post is essential in order to apply for the proper government papers for our work in Mahadaga. You would also advance our work for people with disabilities by providing better care and better training for our in-home case workers and PT aides.

Midwife

How would you like to use your midwifery skills to serve the Lord among the people of Burkina Faso? SIM's two medical centers in Burkina Faso are seeking qualified medical personnel to minister to an under-served population and to develop their medical services. As the two ministries have grown from small clinics to full medical centers with surgical facilities, the need for personnel has grown faster than we can train new people. The medical centers need capable caregivers who can quickly become contributing members of the team. Will that be you?
