Marriage and Family Ministry

Are you involved in marriage and family ministry? Would you consider using this gift in Ghana? SIM has a very effective marriage and family ministry in Accra. Recently this ministry has expended to reach northern Ghana, where a huge need exists for biblical teaching about marriage and family relationships. We are looking for a mature married couple willing to invest in mentoring local couples, walking alongside them, and helping them to live as Christian couples and families in their cultural context.

Outreach to the Dagomba

Dagomba people in Northern Ghana are living and dying without hearing the gospel. SIM wants to change that and we need your help! We are looking for people with a variety of skills and experience who will work together to reach the Dagomba. If you enjoy people, and have skills in any of the following areas - children's, women's or youth ministry, sports ministry, teaching, community development, literacy, health education or social work - we could use you.

Ghana Office Service Coordinator

Are you gifted in administration and willing to join a small missionary team in Ghana? We desire to see the Gospel come to all those who have never heard and understood it. Our leadership and services ministry is crucial for allowing the SIM Ghana team to work effectively toward our goals, and liaising with the Director and Personnel Coordinator, you would be an invaluable asset to ensure smooth service operations.

Sisaala people in Northern Ghana are living and dying without hearing the gospel. SIM wants to change that, and we need your help! We are looking for people with a variety of skills and experience who will work together to reach the Sisaala. If you enjoy people and have skills in any of the following areas we could use you: children's ministry, women's ministry, or youth ministry, sports ministry, teaching, community development, literacy, health education or social work.

Amy Watson

Amy is in Ghana on our Immerse mission internship programme. She is working alongside Penny Bakewell in Tumu, where she will be helping with children's and youth work. Sent by St Peter's Church, Tunbridge Wells, Amy will also be teaching English.

Yvonne Mildred

Yvonne is serving in the northern part of the country, where she is involved in helping Christian business people put the gospel into practice in their daily lives. Sent by St Silas Church, Glasgow, she concentrates on encouraging Biblical values in business relationships and on good financial management.

Jo Chant

Jo Chant was on our Immerse programme, designed to give people in their 20s a true taste of mission. She worked alongside experienced gospel worker Penny Bakewell in a remote part of northern Ghana and is now back at home in Dorchester. Sent by Dorchester Community Church, she is considering where God is leading her in mission.

Phil and Andrea Bauman and family

Phil & Andrea Bauman serve as leaders for the SIM Ghana team. Andrea is the Personnel Coordinator and Health Coordinator and Phil is the Director for the team. They have been serving in Ghana for the past fifteen years. Their biggest motivation is to provide an opportunity for those who have never heard the gospel to hear it and respond, and to provide those with the desire to be involved in Global Mission with the opportunity to do so.
