Are you a leader looking for a new challenge? Mongolia is a country looking for a new director to bring maturity and leadership experience to the field. There may be other easier places to live in the world, but if you feel called to help build a team, build strong relationships with partners and the local church, this is the field for you.
Do you have a yearning to help poor people develop their communities, thereby helping themselves? You could work with the local church and community to investigate and/or design and manage new community development projects. You would help locate and secure capital, equipment, people, and resources as necessary. There could also be opportunities to teach classes on project management or development in local colleges and seminars to community/church groups.
You have a wonderful opportunity to develop personal relationships with students and other staff in order to share your life and faith. You can use your professional skills and training on the university level to impact the lives of Mongolians by working with faculty and staff on student projects, research, competitions, and/or experimentation, in addition to classroom lectures.
Opportunities exist in Mongolia for qualified coaches in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and wrestling. In partnership with JCS, placements are open for coaches who have a passion to instill in youth new skills, but even more importantly, to actually become part of local communities to build relationships, mentor local coaches, and share your life and faith with them.
Here is a unique opportunity for medical personnel with experience and training in palliative/hospice care. In partnership with the Good Acts Society in Mongolia, we are reaching out to hurting and dying people and their families in their time of need.
If you are a specialist in IT and computers and also love teaching, here is a great opportunity for you.
In Mongolia, we have links with a private vocational school looking for computer teachers who can pass on their skills and training to this generation. There would also be numerous opportunities to assist others by offering your skills in computer systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
At the same time, you could be building into the lives of local people and modeling Christian values and work ethic by taking on an apprentice and training local counterparts.
In partnership with Joint Christian Services, we are looking for creative people with entrepreneurial business backgrounds who can help local communities struggling to support their families.
By investigating creative business ventures and passing on your business experience, you will have unique opportunities to build relationships within the community, model Christian values, and impart your skills and knowledge to local people. In the end, we hope to see communities that can support themselves and provide a better quality of life for their families.
Within our Mongolia field, there are a variety of settings in which primary or secondary teachers could choose to serve, both secular and non-secular. Within the secular campus, our team has seen time and again how teaching opens opportunities for friendship evangelism and student discipleship on campus, directly impacting this generation of Mongolia's youth. We want to provide Christian teachers to fill the many positions available throughout Mongolia. These students face an uncertain future and ask questions about core values and beliefs.
We want to
- Share the good news of Jesus with Mongolian people
- Help believers become mature Christians
- Serve the church through loving and compassionate relationships
