Hugh and Helen Sims-Williams, and their two children Jesse and Grace, have been sent by Christ Church Endcliffe (Sheffield) to Kenya. Hugh works as a neurosurgeon and Helen works part-time as a kidney specialist. They share the love of Jesus through medical care and through mentoring junior doctors. Hugh co-leads a neurosurgery training programme to raise up Christian neurosurgeons, part of the Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS).
Please pray:
- that they would communicate, through word and deed, the hope of eternal life that is available for everyone who trusts in Jesus;
- that Hugh’s residents would grow in medical skills and in godly character, and that they will become compassionate servant leaders wherever God calls them to work after their training;
- for their home assignment from May to December: for good times with friends and family, rest, and support-raising;
- that the children will enjoy this time in the UK and will make progress in home-schooling, in spite of the many moves, and that they will learn to trust more and more in God their rock.
