Unexpectedly, in 2015 God called Pam back to Africa at CLAN Gathering in Largs, Scotland. Twenty three years earlier she spent six months with AEF at Rusitu hospital in rural Zimbabwe setting up their new hospital laboratory service.
After serving as guest house manager for two years in Accra, Pam moved to the Upper East Region of Ghana. She works with local council of churches, pastors and leaders, equipping them to disciple children and train children’s ministry workers to reach, disciple and empower the next generation.
In her role Pam encourages church leaders and congregations to take children’s ministry seriously, as they are the church of today – not just of tomorrow.
She is sent by Carntyne and Cranhill Parish Church in Glasgow.
Please pray:
- for pastors, parents and churches to take seriously God’s command to parents to teach and disciple their children at every opportunity starting in the home (Deut. 6:4-7);
- for pastors and congregations to see children as the ‘church of today’ and provide them with resources and leaders suitable for their ages and stages of development as they are able;
- for pastors and congregations to see the families and children outside their churches and have God’s heart to minister to them and share the Good News of Jesus the Christ with those who do not yet know him.
