Tim and Rachel are both doctors serving in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. Tim is a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon, Medical Director at CURE Children’s Hospital of Ethiopia, and runs the PAACS orthopaedic training programme in Ethiopia. Rachel trains GPs at Addis Ababa University, and supports healthcare workers to integrate their faith and work.
They always seek to share the gospel with their patients and colleagues. Sent by St George’s Church, Leeds, they have been in Ethiopia since August 2014 and remain committed to long-term mission work. They have two grown children (Matthew and Rebekah) in the UK and Joel in Bingham Academy in Addis.
Please pray:
- that Rachel’s work would see many Christian healthcare workers understand their vocation and be equipped to share the gospel;
- that Tim’s work would see many healed who would otherwise be condemned to a life of pain and disability, and that he would effectively train and equip Ethiopian Christian surgeons for mission;
- that through all they do they would continue to put Jesus at the centre and tell everyone they encounter that only He can offer eternal healing.
