Many young women in Angola experience fistulas during childbirth that cause them to leak urine or faeces uncontrollably. In many cases this can be repaired through surgery at CEML Mission Hospital in Lubango. However, sometimes they require more than one surgery which results in them being resident at the hospital for several months. Many women do not know the Lord, do not speak Portuguese (the national language), or have a skill set. A gift of £8 can provide a sewing kit for these ladies to learn to sew and provides them a way to make an income upon returning to their village.
