Many young women in Angola experience fistulas during childbirth that cause them to leak urine or faeces uncontrollably. In many cases this can be repaired through surgery at CEML Mission Hospital in Lubango. However, sometimes they require more than one surgery which results in them being resident at the hospital for several months. Many women who come to CEML do not know the Lord. They hear the gospel while they are resident at the hospital but don’t have their own bible to take back to their village. A gift of £8 can provide a bible in the native Mbundu tongue that they can take with them when they return to their village.
