Many young women in Angola experience fistulas during childbirth that cause them to leak urine or feces uncontrollably. In many cases this can be repaired through surgery at CEML Mission Hospital in Lubango. However, sometimes they require more than one surgery which results in them being resident at the hospital for several months. Many women who come to CEML only know how to cook on an open fire. We want to teach them to cook using a gas stove and utensils that can benefit them and their families in everyday living and to also give them skills that they can use for possible employment as house help. A gift of £16 can buy needed supplies for a kitchen at the hospital that can be used to teach these women basic cooking skills.
