“I LOVE SEEING when people realise that God is present and interested in all aspects of their lives and has no sacred/secular divide,” says Yvonne Mildred, who has a heart to see people in northern Ghana worship God daily and earn incomes that lift them out of poverty.
Her ministry not only seeks to help rural farming communities see economic transformation, but also to equip the local church to disciple their members to do work as worship.
Now thanks to amazing answers to prayers, Serving In Mission supporters have supplied enough funds to see an exciting building project completed.
Together with her Ghanaian team, Yvonne helped set up an organic farm near Sandema that demonstrates’ farming God’s way’. Alongside it, a food production business is planned.
“The leaders seek to run the missional business in ways that worship God and love and care for both people and the environment,” explains Yvonne, who is sent by St Silas Church, Glasgow.
But to be economically sustainable, the farm needed new buildings to keep out the desert dust so it can produce food commercially. Now, following our appeal (click here to read the story) the necessary £10,000 has been raised to finish the food production buildings to the required standard.
“I’m amazed and very thankful for our supporters’ prayers and those who played their part in raising the funds. It’s so exciting that we can now finish the building project,” says Yvonne.
“Please continue to pray for God to send an organic farmer and chef who can help this missional business continue to make a kingdom impact.”
