Through an English teaching centre outreach, we see students improving language skills, encountering the gospel and integrating into local Wolof churches. This is an urban ministry in a busy capital city. The majority of students at the centre are Muslim.
Offering English lessons gives staff opportunities to connect with students and their families, sharing education and the hope of Jesus. We require all workers to have TESOL / TEFL qualifications.
We coordinate local events with churches and like-minded organisations, to build community and help deepen relationships. Some of these events are explicitly evangelistic with the Christian faith explained, whilst others are purely social.
Workers will need conversational French to navigate life in Dakar, and will be expected to learn Wolof on arrival.
