Sports Missionary

Work with local churches desiring to reach Sikhs to develop sports as an opportunity to engage with the youth of the community; use and further develop your leadership skills to train and equip others to coach and lead sports-based outreach ministries; use your leadership skills to develop organizational capacity among collaborating churches to schedule and offer sports ministry programs during the school year, and specialty week-long sports camps during the summer. Volunteers may be recruited from the extensive Anglo- and Francophone African, South Asian, and Portuguese diaspora communities in the Lower Mainland. Work with well-qualified ministry leaders to develop your own capacity in biblical knowledge and apologetics; collaborate with high school and university outreach ministries in ways that relate to sports ministries. Interact with other team members to provide and receive mutual encouragement and spiritual support, and interact with the prayer network in collaborating churches.
