Do you enjoy sports? We are looking for sports enthusiasts who will gather young people, build relationships through sport and share the message of the gospel. We already know of some local believers involved in coaching or playing sport, but no formal Sports Friends ministry (sports-friends.org) exists in Benin. This would be a pioneering role, ideally based in Djougou alongside an established church planting team. However, Parakou would be another option. A key function would be modelling the Sports Friends strategy including training and encouraging local believers to start their own teams. Popular grassroots sports include football and volleyball, but other options also exist. A working knowledge of French would be required with the possibility of also learning a local language.
