Information Systems and Medical Records Administrator

Plans and develops systems for documenting, storing, and retrieving medical records. Works with epidemiologist for the reporting of medical statistics for regulatory and quality improvement purposes. Supervises employees in health information management; ensures that training for all health information personnel is kept up-to-date. Performs basic and applied research by collecting and analyzing patient and institutional data from Health Information Management (medical records) Prepares budgets, orders office equipment and supplies, designs forms and other materials, and attends to other administrative details. Serves on committees and works with all departments of the organization to improve efficiency and provide quality patient careBuild capacity in the hospital office and secretarial staff Develop and improve administrative systems, including record keeping Suggest and model quality improvements in the department Engage as a Christian with other staff

Qualifications required

Has a clear understanding of SIM Niger's mission and vision Has a competent level of French and at least a basic understanding of Hausa Has management training Is competent in the use of Microsoft Server and medical records software Has strong communication skills Possesses an understanding of Other Faiths and of honor/shame culture and is able to winsomely present new ideas framed in a Christian world view Has the ability to show respect and sensitivity towards the cultural makeup of our team and of the patients of Galmi Hospital Is able to contribute to the ongoing development of medical records personnel

Experience required

Desirable: Has had cross-cultural experience Has had several years of IT experience
