SIMpray Kids fun facts – Chad

Can you guess which of the images below is Chad?

Unbelievably, the answer is both! The terrain in Chad is a wonderful mix of desert in the north, mountains in the northwest, broad arid plains in the centre and lowlands in the south. What a rich landscape God has created!

French and Arabic are the official languages of Chad, however, there are more than 120 different local languages and dialects spoken too. A translation of the Bible in Chadian Arabic was completed in 2020 but for many the Bible does not yet exist in their mother tongue.

Can you imagine living like families do in Chad with very little running water and no internet connection? As you go about your day today, try and remember to pray for Chad where very few people have ever heard of Jesus every time you turn on a tap.
